Online Help: Interactive Stock and Index Charts Generate interactive charts for exchange-traded securities and market indices, from intraday to 20 years. For starters, you can:
Overview: Generating stock or index charts Enter Symbol(s) (max 4): To generate a chart for a particular stock or index, enter a symbol followed by a hyphen and an exchange code, and click the Chart button. Enter only one symbol. If you don't specify an exchange code after entering a stock or index symbol, our database will match the symbol with its primary exchange - usually the TSE in Canada or the NYSE or NASDAQ in the United States. For example, if you enter BCE into the text box and click "Chart," the system will return a chart for BCE-T (as traded on the TSE and in Canadian dollars). The exchange codes are as follows: T-Toronto, X-Canadian Venture, N-New York, A-American, Q-NASDAQ, -Q2 (NASDAQ-OTCBB), I-Index. If you don't know the symbols, click Symbol Lookup to find them. If you enter more than one symbol and the 1x1 layout is selected, a comparative chart that plots the percentage change of each security or index over the given time period will be generated. If you enter more than one symbol and the 2x2 layout is selected, Line Charts will be generated for the first four symbols entered. The only exception occurs when an index is selected in Upper Chart Options. In this case, comparative charts will be shown for the first four symbols entered.
